I’m 30! Ahhh… I cried when DH surprised me with an experience to fly my own plane for my 30th birthday.
Not because it was the scariest thing in the world, but because he listened when I told him about my childhood dream of always wanting to fly. In high school, I did science report on jets. Ever since that report, I thought flying would be the coolest thing in the world, but my mom always told me I was too short.
DH got me a bomber jacket to go along with my flying lesson. He also surprised me with a dim sum lunch with all our family and friends.

The day I took my flying lesson was one of the clearest and warmest day for a while. Our pilot was only 21 years old, but he already has thousands of flying hours under his belt. I flew a Cessna plane. It fit 3 people. Dan sat in the back. The flight took about an hour. We flew from San Jose up to San Francisco along 101, and on the way back we flew along ocean and Rt. 1.
The experience was incredible. Not as scary as I thought. Definitely difficult with all the instruments and lingo. I want to go again! Thanks DH!
